Okay, there is one set of online ads that annoys the crap out of me. They're advertising mortgage loans or something financial .. but they feature these wacky, spastic, animated, dancing figures on each ad. I DON'T GET IT!! What the heck does a twitchy looking figure doing the electric slide have to do with mortgage loans??
The original funny cat video that I posted a while back is no longer available (it has apparently been flagged for a copyright infringement). So I went in search of another funny cat video.
I can't decide what's more bizarre -- the cats or the song.
Where do you get recommendations for new books to read?
A raaaaaandom variety of places. Friends. Other readings - such as magazines, the news, blogs. Oh, and Olsson's (there's one right near my apartment) has those nifty sticky notes with handwritten reviews/recommendations right by the books on the shelves. (Huge fan of those!)
Got home from the airport late tonight after being gone for a few days. Came home to ... a wreck of an apartment and no food. Dinner? Peanut butter and jelly on a hot dog bun. Mmm ...
Killing time at the airport. Came across this downloadable tea timer from Adagio Teas! Pretty nifty, eh? (Don't get me started on my massive "I want" list from Adagio.)
For the record, Adagio Teas has done a phenomenal job of developing and executing creative interactive ideas. And they have a kick-arse website. If I were a PR blogger, I'd have a lot to write about regarding their existing online presence.
Yeah, if I were a PR blogger ...
Loooooong day. Loooooong past three days, actually. I'm heading down to Alabama tomorrow (for my mom's wedding!!), and I had a lot to wrap up before leaving.
Got home a little after 9:00 tonight. Was dreading the idea of having to PACK tonight. Realized I had no idea what time my flight left in the morning, what airline I was flying, etc. I just checked. I depart at 11:35 tomorrow morning. HA!
I have time to pack in the morning! Hell, I can even sleep in and still pack in the morning. "Yay me" for booking a late morning flight.
(Yes, I'm doing my "I'm quite pleased with myself" dance.)
What decision changed the course of your life?

Oh, gosh. To pick one ... going to Auburn instead of AMDA. That was the difference between ending up an actress in New York or LA ... and what I do now, working in PR in Washington, DC. Crazy, huh?
That's really just one of many, many, many ...
