Protesters!
Just got the following notice from our office building's management:
As many of you have noticed, there have been protestors outside of the 1875 Tower over the past two days. The name of the protesting group or Union is known as the Mid-Atlantic Regional Council of Carpenters.
The Union has an on-going labor dispute with a sub-contractor working in the 1875 tower. Please be advised that we are doing everything possible to minimize disruption to your business day.
Well, my desk is a few yards from that side of the building. The view from a nearby window looks down to the pacing protesters below. I can certainly hear the drums and chanting (even 9 stories up), but I wouldn't say it's disrupting my workday. Shmay. In go the earbuds and on goes the music ...
Oh, the joys of working in downtown DC.
